Strollers at Disney World: What to Know

Disney World caps strollers at 31 inches wide and 52 inches long. Wagons and stroller wagons are banned outright, and security measures anything that looks close to the limit at every park entrance. Here is what else to know before you pack or rent one.

The size rule and why it's enforced

The 31-by-52-inch limit applies to rented and personal strollers alike. It exists to keep walkways passable in narrow spots like queue switchbacks and parade routes, and it's checked at bag check, not just spot-checked at rides. If your everyday stroller is close to the limit, measure it at home first.

Renting vs. bringing your own

Disney rents strollers at all four parks and at Disney Springs:

Stroller type Capacity Single-day price Multi-day price (per day)
Single Up to 50 lbs $15 $13
Double Up to 100 lbs $31 $27

The multi-day rate only helps if you're visiting parks on consecutive days, since a rented stroller has to be returned before you leave the park where you picked it up — you cannot take it back to your resort, and you cannot carry it between parks on the same rental.

Which hour to push one

A stroller in a crowded walkway is harder to manage than one in a quiet one. Our data shows each park has a clear best and worst hour park-wide:

Park Best hour Best-hour avg wait (min) Worst hour Worst-hour avg wait (min)
Magic Kingdom 8am 11.3 7pm 22.7
Animal Kingdom 7pm 13.5 12pm 30.9
Epcot 10pm 19.5 11am 30.3
Hollywood Studios 8am 20.5 12pm 40

Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are easiest to navigate right at rope drop. Animal Kingdom and Epcot are the opposite — both are calmer as the day winds down. Either way, the crowded hours above are also the hours you'll be fighting a stroller through the thickest foot traffic.

Stroller-friendly break stops

When a toddler needs a slower moment out of the sun, these are the longest-running, most stroller-parking-friendly experiences at each park, with their average wait for reference:

Park Attraction Avg wait (min)
Magic Kingdom Meet Mickey at Town Square Theater 18.5
Epcot Turtle Talk with Crush 15.1
Hollywood Studios Meet Disney Stars at Red Carpet Dreams 31.6
Animal Kingdom Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventurers Outpost 29.1

All four are seated or standing meet-and-greets with stroller parking right outside, making them a natural pause point mid-route.
