8 Underrated Disney World Rides With Almost No Line

Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail at Animal Kingdom averages a 5-minute wait in our wait-time data. Avatar Flight of Passage, one path over in Pandora, averages nearly 50. Every Disney World park has a version of this gap — a genuinely good attraction sitting quietly next to the ride everyone lines up for. Here are 8 that stood out across all four parks.

The 8 rides

Attraction Park Avg wait (min) The headliner nearby
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail Animal Kingdom 5.0 Avatar Flight of Passage (49.8)
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue Hollywood Studios 6.6 Slinky Dog Dash (56)
Living with the Land EPCOT 9.0 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (69.5)
Pirates of the Caribbean Magic Kingdom 12.2 TRON Lightcycle / Run (54.4)
Spaceship Earth EPCOT 13.3 Test Track (64.5)
Haunted Mansion Magic Kingdom 19.7 TRON Lightcycle / Run (54.4)
Alien Swirling Saucers Hollywood Studios 20.0 Slinky Dog Dash (56)
Expedition Everest Animal Kingdom 21.1 Avatar Flight of Passage (49.8)

1. Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail (Animal Kingdom)

A 5.0-minute average wait for a self-paced walking trail through a real gorilla habitat. It's not a ride you queue for in the traditional sense, which is exactly why it stays this quiet even on busy days.

2. Star Tours – The Adventures Continue (Hollywood Studios)

At 6.6 minutes average, this is the lowest wait of any attraction at Hollywood Studios — a full-scale motion-simulator experience with randomized ride paths, sitting a short walk from Slinky Dog Dash's 56-minute average.

3. Living with the Land (EPCOT)

A slow boat ride through real greenhouses at 9.0 minutes average. It shares World Nature with Soarin' Around the World, which runs nearly triple the wait at 24.9 minutes.

4. Pirates of the Caribbean (Magic Kingdom)

One of the park's most enduring dark rides averages 12.2 minutes — a fraction of TRON Lightcycle / Run's 54.4-minute average less than half a mile away in Tomorrowland.

5. Spaceship Earth (EPCOT)

EPCOT's icon averages 13.3 minutes. It sits at the entrance most guests walk straight past on their way to Test Track and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, both of which run 5x higher.

6. Haunted Mansion (Magic Kingdom)

A 19.7-minute average for a ride with more re-ride value per minute than almost anything else in Liberty Square. Still well under half of TRON's average.

7. Alien Swirling Saucers (Hollywood Studios)

A real spinning coaster-style ride at 20.0 minutes average, in the same land as Slinky Dog Dash's 56-minute average and Toy Story Mania's 38.5-minute average.

8. Expedition Everest (Animal Kingdom)

A full-scale mountain coaster at 21.1 minutes average — the lowest wait of any thrill coaster across the four Disney parks in this list, and less than half of Avatar Flight of Passage's 49.8-minute average one zone over.

How to use this list

Slot these into the gaps in your day. If you're waiting for a Lightning Lane return window at a headliner, walk to the low-wait ride in the same land first — you'll almost always finish before your window opens. Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion pair naturally on a Magic Kingdom day; Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth do the same at EPCOT.

For deeper land-by-land breakdowns, see the Magic Kingdom Adventureland & Frontierland guide, EPCOT World Celebration & World Nature guide, Hollywood Studios Toy Story Land guide, and Animal Kingdom Africa & Asia guide. For more attractions like these across the resort, see walk-on rides at Disney World.
