EPCOT's France Pavilion Loses Both Its Shows

Palais du Cinema, the theater at the back of EPCOT's France pavilion, is closed for refurbishment — and because it's a single building that houses two separate shows, both went dark at the same time.
What's actually closed
Impressions de France, the widescreen film tour of the French countryside, and the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, the live/film hybrid stage show, both run out of Palais du Cinema. With the building under refurbishment, neither show is currently available to guests. Disney has not attached a reopening date to the closure in the coverage we've reviewed.
This is part of a broader wave of attraction downtime across Walt Disney World this year — the company closed 16 rides in April 2026 and 14 more in May 2026 for refurbishment and reimagining work, though the France pavilion's theater closure is a separate item from that count.
What's still running in France
The pavilion's headliner attraction is unaffected. Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, the trackless dark ride that opened in the France pavilion in 2021, is running on its normal schedule. In our wait-time data, it averages a 44-minute wait, with a peak hourly average of 76 minutes.
| Attraction | Zone | Avg wait (min) | Peak hourly avg (min) | Best hour | Worst hour |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Remy's Ratatouille Adventure | France | 44 | 76 | 10pm (23.5 min) | 4pm (54.8 min) |
If you were planning your France pavilion stop around the two shows, Remy's is now effectively the only attraction to build a stop around. Treat it the same way you'd treat any of EPCOT's higher-demand rides: our data shows its best hour is 10pm, and its worst is 4pm, when the average nearly triples the late-night low.
What this means for your day
- Don't plan a France pavilion stop around Impressions de France or the sing-along right now. Both are unavailable until the refurbishment finishes.
- Shift that pavilion time to Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, but budget for it properly — a 44-minute average is close to the park's mid-tier headliners, not a walk-on.
- Check current hours before you go. Refurbishment schedules shift; confirm show status the day of your visit rather than relying on an older itinerary.
For the rest of the park's queue behavior while you're routing around this closure, see our EPCOT touring plan and the full ranking in Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind wait time data. You can also check current wait patterns for the park directly at Park Autopilot's EPCOT wait times.
