Expedition Everest sits sixth on the list, right in the middle of the park — a modest average for a ride with a reputation as one of Animal Kingdom's two or three essential attractions. Kilimanjaro Safaris is worth a second look too: its daily average (23.4 minutes) is unremarkable, but its peak hourly average (84 minutes) is the highest of any ride in the park, even above Avatar Flight of Passage.

The rope-drop trap: Flight of Passage's worst hour is 8am

Meanwhile, Expedition Everest's best hour of the day is that same 8am slot, at just 6.1 minutes. The efficient move is to ride Everest first and save Flight of Passage for evening, not the other way around.

Kali River Rapids follows a similar pattern: its worst hour, 2pm, runs 49.4 minutes, but by 8pm it drops to 3.3 minutes — a fraction of the midday wait.
