Lightning Lane Single Pass Hits Record Highs on November 1

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train's Lightning Lane Single Pass rises from a $15 ceiling to $18 for visits starting November 1, 2026 — a 20% increase, and the largest of the four changes Disney made. Three other attractions set new highs on the same date, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance holds at $25 (WDW News Today, Disney Tourist Blog).

Single Pass is the à la carte tier: one ride, bought separately from Multi Pass, on the handful of attractions Disney holds back from the standard selection list. Here is what changed, and what each ride now costs per minute of line you are buying out of.

The new prices

Attraction Park Previous high From Nov 1 Change
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Magic Kingdom $15 $18 +$3 (+20%)
TRON Lightcycle / Run Magic Kingdom $23 $25 +$2 (+8.7%)
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind EPCOT $22 $25 +$3 (+13.6%)
Avatar Flight of Passage Animal Kingdom $19 $20 +$1 (+5.3%)
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Hollywood Studios $25 $25 no change

Single Pass prices vary by date, so these are the new ceilings rather than a flat fare. The pattern is worth noting on its own: the cheapest pass took the largest percentage increase, which narrows the spread across the five rides. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and TRON Lightcycle / Run now sit $7 apart rather than $8, despite TRON averaging 12.7 minutes more of a wait.

What you are actually buying, per minute

The honest way to price a line-skip is against the line. Below is each new price divided by that attraction's average wait, and then by its worst hour — the window where a Single Pass does the most work.

Attraction Avg wait (min) Cost per min at average Worst hour Cost per min at worst hour
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind 72.2 $0.35 7pm (87.7) $0.29
TRON Lightcycle / Run 52.3 $0.48 8pm (63.3) $0.40
Avatar Flight of Passage 41.1 $0.49 8am (53.2) $0.38
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance 40.4 $0.62 12pm (51.8) $0.48
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train 39.6 $0.45 5pm (47) $0.38

The arithmetic: $25 ÷ 72.2 = $0.35 for Guardians, $25 ÷ 52.3 = $0.48 for TRON, $20 ÷ 41.1 = $0.49 for Flight of Passage, $25 ÷ 40.4 = $0.62 for Rise of the Resistance, and $18 ÷ 39.6 = $0.45 for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is the best value of the five at the new prices, by a clear margin, because it has the longest line to buy out of — 72.2 minutes on average and 87.7 at 7pm. Rise of the Resistance is the most expensive per minute and the only one that did not go up, which tells you something about where Disney thinks the demand is.

One caveat that applies to every row: a Lightning Lane return does not reduce your wait to zero, so these figures are an upper bound on the value, not a promise. Treat them as a ranking, not a refund.

The hours where buying makes no sense

Each of these rides has a floor, and at the floor the same purchase buys far less.

Attraction Best hour Best avg (min) Cost per min at best hour
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind 10pm 50.4 $0.50
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train 10pm 27.7 $0.65
TRON Lightcycle / Run 8am 34.6 $0.72
Avatar Flight of Passage 8pm 20.8 $0.96
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance 10pm 20.5 $1.22

Rise of the Resistance at 10pm averages 20.5 minutes. A $25 Single Pass against that line costs $1.22 per minute — more than four times what the same $25 buys on Guardians at 7pm. Avatar Flight of Passage is nearly as stark: $0.96 a minute at 8pm against $0.38 at 8am, its worst hour.

That is the practical takeaway. There are not five purchases here, there are five purchases times every hour of the day, and on Rise of the Resistance the hour you pick changes the value by a factor of two and a half ($1.22 against $0.48) at the same price.

Premier Pass is next

Disney has also announced that Lightning Lane Premier Pass peak prices are increasing by $50 on the highest-demand days at all four parks. No effective date has been given, and the increase does not take effect on November 1 (Disney Tourist Blog).

Disney has not published the resulting figures. Disney Tourist Blog projects a Magic Kingdom peak of $499 against a current $329–$449 range, with Hollywood Studios at $399, EPCOT at $299 and Animal Kingdom at $249 — a projection, not an announced price. For context on what the top of that range already looks like, the Premier Pass high stood at $449 at Magic Kingdom.
