Hollywood Studios runs the highest, at roughly 32.8 minutes, 72% above Magic Kingdom. That's a bigger gap than most visitors assume walking in with four parks that all feel, on the surface, similarly busy.

Magic Kingdom wins on the headline number, but look closer and the story gets more interesting. Magic Kingdom's headliner isn't the easy one — it's third-hardest of the four. What actually pulls the park's average down is depth: 33 tracked attractions, most of them well under 15 minutes (Mad Tea Party at 6.7, Dumbo at 7.6, it's a small world at 9.6). A single brutal ride can't drag the park average up when it's diluted across 32 others. Hollywood Studios has the opposite problem — only 12 tracked attractions, and half of them average over 30 minutes.

Animal Kingdom, by contrast, actually has the shortest headliner wait of the four parks. Avatar Flight of Passage's 49.8-minute average is the lowest "hardest ride in the park" figure on this list — worth knowing if a single must-ride attraction is what's driving your park choice for the day.

The calmest ride in each park

Every park's story isn't just about its hardest ride — the easiest one matters too, especially if low-key attractions are how you plan to fill the gaps between headliners.

That's a useful reality check: even Hollywood Studios, the park with the highest overall average, still has an attraction that behaves like a near walk-on most of the day. Animal Kingdom typically wraps its operating hours earlier than the other three parks, which is why its evening rows run out sooner.

A few things jump out reading across the rows. Magic Kingdom holds the single lowest wait among the four parks for most of the day — every hour from 8am through 5pm — before Animal Kingdom's steep evening drop-off overtakes it: by 6pm, Animal Kingdom (19.3 minutes) is lower than Magic Kingdom (21.8) for the first time all day, and by 7pm the gap is wide (13.5 versus 22.7). EPCOT, not Hollywood Studios, is actually the single busiest park at 8am (26.5 minutes); Hollywood Studios doesn't take the top spot until 9am, and once it does, it holds the highest wait of the four parks for the rest of the operating day, all the way through the 10pm close.
