Tiana's Bayou Adventure Closes November 2. Rebuild Your Frontierland Morning.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure closes for routine refurbishment on Monday, November 2, 2026 — its first since opening — along with the Tiana's Bayou General Store (Disney Tourist Blog). Disney has said only that it expects a December return; the official operating calendar shows ride hours resuming Friday, December 18, which Disney has not formally announced and could still move (Disney Tourist Blog).

That matters more than a single closure usually does. Tiana's Bayou Adventure averages 25.9 minutes, which makes it the second-longest line in Frontierland and the sixth-longest at Magic Kingdom. A plan built around it needs a new first hour.

Dates come from Disney's operating calendar as reported by refurbishment trackers, and refurbishment dates move. Check the My Disney Experience app the morning of your visit before you walk to a ride.

The Railroad is the one piece of good news in that table, and the sources do not fully agree on it. The operating calendar lists hours resuming October 30, while Disney's own site says November (Disney Tourist Blog, Riding the Magic). Either way, it returns as a Main Street–to–Fantasyland shuttle, because Frontierland Station remains closed.

What Tiana's was doing in your plan

Tiana's Bayou Adventure is one of the sharpest timing plays at Magic Kingdom: 6.2 minutes at 8am against 37.4 at 3pm, and a peak hourly average of 59. It is the ride that made a Frontierland rope drop worth it. Here is the neighborhood without it.

Four of those six share the same best hour — 8am — and three of them have their worst hour at noon. That is the whole re-plan in one sentence: the west side of Magic Kingdom is a morning park, and with Tiana's shut you have one fewer stop to fit into the same window.

The new morning lap

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean and Jungle Cruise at their 8am figures come to 24.1 minutes of queue (12.1 + 4.8 + 7.2). The same three at each one's worst hour come to 89.9 (35.2 + 19.9 + 34.8). The gap is 65.8 minutes.

A workable order:

1. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad first. The largest floor of the three at 12.1 minutes, and the one that nearly triples by noon (35.2 ÷ 12.1 = 2.9x).
2. Pirates of the Caribbean second. At 4.8 minutes it is almost free early and 19.9 at noon — the proportionally worst of the group to leave late (4.1x).
3. Jungle Cruise third, and before 11am. Its worst hour is 11am at 34.8 minutes, earlier than its neighbours' noon peaks.
4. Haunted Mansion to close out the morning at 11.9 minutes, against 23.2 at noon.
5. Country Bear Musical Jamboree and the Tiki Room whenever you like. Country Bear ranges from 9.1 to 9.7 minutes all day, the Tiki Room from 8.9 to 9.5. Neither rewards planning, which makes both useful filler in the afternoon.

One honest limitation: our wait figures describe days when Tiana's Bayou Adventure was open. They cannot tell you where its riders go once it closes. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is the obvious candidate to absorb them, so treat its 12.1-minute 8am figure as the optimistic end of the range while the refurbishment runs.

Tuesday averages 13.5 minutes park-wide, Saturday 20.7 — a difference of 7.2 minutes on every single ride. If the closure forces you to move a Magic Kingdom day anyway, move it onto a Tuesday or a Friday.
