Epic Universe Express Pass Now: How It Actually Works

Universal Express Pass Now arrived at Epic Universe in summer 2026 — a one-time, single-ride line-skip priced at $20 to $25 per attraction, per person. There is no unlimited version of Express Pass at this park in 2026. Every use is once per ride, per day.

What changed

• Express Pass Now launched at Epic Universe in summer 2026, letting guests buy a single line-skip for a specific attraction rather than a day-long pass.
• Price runs $20–$25 per attraction, per person, per use.
• Epic Universe has no Unlimited Express Pass option in 2026. Every skip is a one-time purchase for one ride.

This is a different model than the classic Unlimited Express Pass sold at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, where a single pass covers unlimited uses across eligible rides for the day. At Epic Universe, you are buying access ride by ride.

A related shift at the older parks

Universal has also been narrowing what Unlimited Express Pass covers elsewhere in the resort. As of July 1, 2026, Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Islands of Adventure is no longer included in Express Pass at all — a sign that even the resort's most in-demand rides are moving toward pay-per-ride or exclusion, rather than blanket unlimited access.

Is it worth it at Epic Universe

Whether a $20–$25 single-use skip is worth it depends entirely on which ride and which hour. Our wait-time data shows the biggest gaps are concentrated in three attractions:

At its best hour (9pm, averaging 57.7 minutes), the same purchase buys back less time relative to the cost. Timing to watch

Universal's Passholder Appreciation Days run August 15 through September 30, 2026, and include 30% off select Express Passes at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure — not Epic Universe specifically. Expect elevated crowds resort-wide during this six-week window regardless of which park you are visiting, simply from the discount pulling more passholders into the parks at large.
